    Former WWE superstar and current book writer AJ Mendez  grew up living in cars . She was born in March on 19, 1987 in New Jersey. She grew up watching wrestling and told her mom that that was going to be her future. AJ would take food from her job so she did not have to spend a lot of money. With that choice she saved her money so she would have a chance to travel around the world and have a chance to become a WWE superstar. That’s when she made it to a brand called NXT!

    AJ Lee made her name in her NXT debut in 2010. She would be put in a diva’s competition. She would do amazing and almost win the competition. She got eliminated. Finally in 2011 AJ would be drafted to R.A.W. One of the main brands. There she started off small. She helped create men's storylines.  CM Punk was one of those men and soon after married AJ!! She was very good at playing mind games and helped make the men's storyline so much more interesting. Anything could happen in a regular men's match but, when AJ was there  anything was possible.

    Around 2012-  2013 AJ started to make a name for herself in the women's division. She developed her own character to the women's division and proved herself. Aj had many different title runs and left an imprint on the company. She was the second longest reigning  divas champion  holding the title for 295 days. She fought hard  and always put on a good show. AJ along with a couple other wrestlers started the women's evolution!! Every woman gets to be called a wrestler now and has the opportunity to make history for women!

    After getting married to CM Punk she would leave her wrestling career behind. No one really has a specific reason why she left but most think it is because her husband and the company did not see eye to eye. So, after she did so many amazing things for the company and opening so many doors for the women AJ would retire in 2015. It was devastating to so many people around the world to see such a superstar and amazing wrestler leave the wrestling industry.

    Fans all around the world were upset but were all ready to see what AJ had in store for us next!! AJ made a book called “ Crazy is My Superpower”. It talks about her life, what she had to go through as a child, and how she has overcome obstacles in her life.  AJ has made comics  and is currently helping people that have a mental illness. AJ  helps people with mental illness or people that just need help get better and grow. She can relate to certain problems people have because she has had bi polar since she was a little kid.

    AJ has done a lot  in her career. She has pulled in the WWE universe, and the new readers that  have started to read her book.  She was a young girl that had big dreams and grew up to live out that dream.  She started to empower people all over the world.  AJK broke down barriers in the divas division and succeeded. She soon found something new that she enjoyed and reached the top of the mountain. AJ will forever be a role model and one of the best women wrestlers to step in the squared ring.
