    Pitchers and catchers report to duty. February in Florida is the most wonderful time of the year next to opening day for baseball fans. Baseball is a sport that you can enjoy watching with your whole family. So many kids these days want to stay inside on their devices, baseball is one way to get kids moving. There are many reasons to like baseball such as it is entertaining, improves hand eye coordination, and it teaches teamwork.



    Reason one - baseball is a great way to exercise, develop your hand-eye coordination, and improve your health. There are many different movements you use when learning to play baseball.  Your body will always bBaseball is above all, FUN!  From Hobb Engler Little League to the MLB, everyone enjoys America's favorite pastime.  “Whoever wants to know the heart and mind of America had better learn baseball.”-Jacques Barzune in motion.  From running the bases, to swinging the bat, your heart rate will increase and you will build your endurance. Your muscles will develop and get stronger over time.  Baseball is good for your health and you also get vitamin D from the sun while you are outside.

    Reason two - baseball will force kids to put their devices away and go outside.  Too much device time can lead to obesity, aggression behavior, problems with sleeping, and shorter attention spans.  Watching baseball can also be entertaining.

    The third reason is baseball encourages people to make friends.  Some of these friendships last a lifetime if you are lucky.  A baseball player needs to learn to communicate with others on the field and off the field.  In the game of baseball you learn respect and to follow the rules. Baseball teaches children values, one being good sportsmanship and another being teamwork.
